MEDICINE PROGRAM SPONSORED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF QUÉBEC
The Government of Québec (Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux) hasÌý initiated or is supporting several programs that aim to promote medical practice in rural and isolated environments. It is clear that there are many advantages to having a clinical practice in areas somewhat distant from major urban sites and away from academic centres.
It has asked that the four Québec medical schools provide opportunities for clinical exposure during the undergraduate curricula in rural or isolated areas. The government programs to which you may be eligible include:
- A Summer Job or Summer Elective. (Please consult )

- A 3rd or 4th Year Clerkship Elective at Â鶹AV or in another Quebec medical school
- Â鶹AV Integrated Clerkship at the CISSS de l’OutaouaisÌý
- Â鶹AV Family Medicine Core Rotation or Â鶹AV Pediatrics Core rotation in Val-d’Or
