During their 3-year term, associate members have the following responsibilities and privileges:

• Collaborate on research with core BME faculty.
• Participate in the departmental teaching program.
• Supervise graduate students and/or serve on committees in the Biological and Biomedical Engineering (BBME) graduate training program. Alternatively, they could mentor students and assist in placing them in industry internships within the Master鈥檚 in Translational Biomedical Engineering (MTBME) program.
• Contribute to the Department of Biomedical Engineering through administrative services and other activities.
• Participate in the BME and BBME research symposiums, such as Research Day.
