From health and disability law to the emerging field of regenerative medicine, seventeen 鶹AV scholars named to new or renewed Canada Research Chairs positions across diverse fields
Using anti-inflammatory drugs and steroids to relieve pain could increase the chances of developing chronic pain, according to researchers from 鶹AV and colleagues in Italy. Their research puts into question conventional practices used to alleviate pain. Normal recovery from a painful injury involves inflammation and blocking that inflammation with drugs could lead to harder-to-treat pain.

Background: The Macdonald-Stewart Library Building that houses the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering will undergo significant structural repairs and major internal upgrades over the next two years, beginning May 15, 2019. As a result, Schulich Library is now closed temporarily. Collections, services and staff will be relocated to the Humanities and Social Sciences Library for the duration of the renovation.
The Macdonald-Stewart Library Building, which houses the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering, needs significant structural repairs and major internal upgrades. This work includes stabilization of the stone structure, foundation waterproofing, window replacement, washroom expansion and the installation of a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC).

Dr. Ashwaq Al-Hashedi has had another success getting her company 2D CrystaLab off the ground. Following the success with the 鶹AV X1 Accelerator program the company was recently selected for the Centech Propulsion Program, a program sponsored and organized by ETS and other industrial supporters. .
