At the time of writing it is too early to give a very complete summary of the year’s activities of the Commerce Undergraduate Society. However, it may be said that the Society has had a very active year up to the present and that plans are under way for the continuation of the many and varied activities.
Entertainment was highlighted by the holding of the A.C.S. Ball in co-operation with the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society. Also, a very successful smoker was held in October. Plans are under way for a Commerce informal and a gen night.
A series of company tours to the various fields of business and industry was held. They were designed to assist in the rounding out of the theory studies in class.
Members of the Society took an active part in individual as well as team sports. The Society placed a number of badminton and squash rackets in the gym. The heavy use to which they were put is indicative of active athletics.
The progress of the different events held was very encouraging and the executive wishes to express its appreciation to all those who so willingly gave their time and assistance to make the year a successful one.
