How to Prepare your Video

As a part of your application for the Â鶹AV Innovation Fund (MIF), you are asked to make a short presentation video of your presentation and your team. This video should be approached like an elevator pitch. An elevator pitch is a crucial tool for an entrepreneur. Your pitch should be succinct and high level, but clear enough for non-experts to understand your project. Here are some guidelines on how to make your MIF presentation/elevator pitch:

  • The presentation video must be under 2 minutes.
  • The objective is to give the Selection Committee a feel of who you are and what your innovation is.
  • Smartphone quality is enough! Submissions will NOT be judged based on the quality of the video.
  • This is not an academic lecture. Describe your innovation using non-technical terms, and get to the point quickly.

Here is a breakdown of what you should include in the video and a suggested length for each element:
