Box Office Policies
Faculty, Staff and Students
- Students of the Schulich School of Music, the Art of Listening classes, as well as currently registered Marianopolis College students are entitled to one (1) free ticket per Schulich School of Music concert, with the exception of the opera productions. There may be specific exceptions beyond what is listed here at the discretion of the Schulich School of Music, and is subject to change at any time.Â
- Faculty and Staff are entitled to two (2)Â free tickets per Schulich School of Music concert with the exception of the opera production.
- To reserve your ticket in-person, please visit the Box Office during business hours: Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. No free tickets are issued in person after 6:00 p.m. the same day of the event.Â
- To obtain your free ticket in person, faculty, staff, and students must show a valid Â鶹AV ID.Â
- To reserve your free ticket online, you must use your Â鶹AV email address and the code issued by the Communications & Production Department (C & P). Use the Box Office link provided in your event of choice. Students, please remember to click on the "student rate" in order to have access to the code prompt. Opera Productions
- Staff of the Voice Area (teachers, coaches, accompanists) are entitled to one (1) free ticket per cast per production for the performance of their choice.
- Staff who have students using the opera production for a required exam are entitled to one (1) free ticket per night.
- Voice students are entitled to one (1) free ticket for the performance of their choice.
- Other staff and students of the Schulich School of Music are entitled to one (1) free ticket per production.
- This policy does not apply when any opera production is a collaboration with an outside arts organization or at an external venue. These policies are determined on a case by case basis and will be clearly communicated by Opera Â鶹AV.
Tickets for Guests (Comp Tickets)
- Conductors of the large ensembles (Â鶹AV Symphony Orchestra, Â鶹AV Wind Orchestra, Â鶹AV Baroque Orchestra, Â鶹AV Contemporary Music Ensemble, Â鶹AV Jazz Orchestras I & II, Â鶹AV Choirs) are entitled to a maximum of six (6) free tickets per concert for their guests; the list must be communicated by email to the Box Office no later than one (1) week before the event (boxoffice.music [at] mcgill.ca).
- Students soloists performing with a large ensemble are entitled to a maximum of four (4) tickets, including their own. The complete list must be communicated by email to the Box Office no later than one (1) week before the event (boxoffice.music [at] mcgill.ca).
- Student composers whose works are performed are entitled to a maximum of four (4) tickets, including their own. The complete list must be communicated by email to the Box Office no later than one (1) week before the event (boxoffice.music [at] mcgill.ca).
- Each artist or ensemble performing within the Schulich in Concert Series is entitled to six (6) free tickets per concert, up to a maximum of eighteen (18) free tickets per concert. One complete list must be communicated by email to the Box Office no later than one (1) week before the event (boxoffice.music [at] mcgill.ca).
