Q: Does the nominee have to be proficient/fluent in English? Will the lecture in Montreal be given in English?
A: Proficiency in English is not required. Translation services will be provided if needed.
Q: What language(s) can the nomination package be submitted in?
A: The nomination package must be submitted in English.
Q: Does a nominee need to be made aware ahead of time that they are being nominated? Should the nominator have the nominee’s consent?
A: We recommend notifying nominees in advance, but it is not required.
Q: Will there be an opportunity for primary nominators to submit additional nomination materials at a later stage in the nomination process?
A: No, all materials must be submitted in a single package by the July 15th deadline.
Q: Can someone doing a fellowship at 鶹AV be nominated?
A: No.
Q: Can someone who works at the 鶹AV Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital or any of the other 鶹AV-affiliated institutions be nominated?
A: No.
Q: Is this award limited to clinicians? What is the working definition of “practitioner”?
A: This award is not limited to clinicians. We define a practitioner as anyone who is leading impactful work to address health inequities in underserved communities in any region of the world.
