Â鶹AV Emergency Travel Health Insurance - for Â鶹AVians covered by Â鶹AV Supplemental Health Plan

In addition to the regular emergency travel assistance benefit, staff members travelling on university business are also covered for emergency medical expenses incurred as a direct result of war, insurrection and terrorism.

This coverage is in addition to and supplements Manulife's regular Emergency Travel Assistance benefit.

What to do in case of a medical emergency while traveling?

  • Contact Global Excel Management (GEM)Ìýas soon as possible.
  • If you are not covered by the Â鶹AV Supplemental Health Plan, contact your insurance provider directly
  • Contact Â鶹AV. You are encouraged to use the normal communication channels for your Faculty or Unit for any emergencies.

To ensureÌýcoverage as a Faculty or Staff member, you must register your travel information through this form.

Note that some travel destinations must be pre-approved at least 30 days prior to departure to ensure coverage.Ìý
