Professional Background

With more than 20 years of experience, Julian is a specialist in industrial B2B sales and business development. His experience revolves mostly around the mining industry, chemical processing and engineering consulting. He has one business in large CAPEX and long lead industrial environments as well as strategic accounts of high volume of MRO items. His focus is presently on doubling the size of an industrial SME in Montreal.

I think the DataSphere Lab is destined to be an important part of the data AI ecosystem in Canada, and a crown jewel for Â鶹AV. I see it as a top-of-mind option for every AI project for industry in the Greater Montreal area, and its graduates will increase their reputation. I love that the Lab is in its starting phase and the team feels like a family.

Why I joined the Lab

I bring an experienced eye to a very young team working on the cutting edge of technology. Business at the Lab happens between real people, generally tending to be experienced and GenXers, just like me. This different point of view could help increase the number of opportunities for students to get exposure to real world industry projects, and consequently increase the odds of getting hired after their studies are completed. Of course, it also helps this old dog learn new tricks.
