The Micro-credential in Digital Health Solutions offers a comprehensive introduction to digital health, the emerging and rapidly expanding subsector related to the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. It features two courses (Data Governance for Healthcare and AI in Healthcare), which help learners understand how digital technologies are implemented in healthcare and their practical application for organizations.

This micro-credential will help you gain hands-on experience and skills to set you apart in the field. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Digital Badge and an Attestation of Completion.

Course 1

YCHC 220 Data Governance in Healthcare (4 CEUs)
Overview of the characteristics and actors in data governance (tools, people, and processes) within the healthcare context.


Course 2

YCHC 230 AI in Healthcare (4 CEUs)
Examination of Artificial Intelligence as it applies to and is transforming the healthcare sector. Exploration of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing operations in healthcare, its impact, and applications on healthcare systems.


Who Should Attend

This micro-credential is relevant for professionals working in the healthcare sector or for those interested in digital health. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.


Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this micro-credential, participants should be able to:

  • Understand how digital technologies are being implemented in healthcare, and their practical application for organizations
  • Assess stakeholder needs to adopt appropriate digital health tools in different organizations and workplaces
  • Analyze gaps in healthcare that can be addressed with new technologies and data governance
  • Identify the relevant aspects of data governance (tools, privacy, people, and processes) within the healthcare context
  • Analyze the impact and critically engage with the artificial intelligence

Language Requirements

Proof of English proficiency is not required. However, since the language of instruction is English, a good command of English is required in order to perform well in courses and complete the micro-credential.
