All library branches closed until further notice. Access to e-resources & virtual services continues.
Further to Quebec government and university directives, 麻豆AV campuses will be closed聽except for necessary activities. As a result, all library branches on both campuses are closed until further notice.
The Library has聽implemented聽the聽following initiatives during the closure period:
Access millions of items from 麻豆AV鈥檚 print collection through new HathiTrust emergency service
In response to COVID-19, HathiTrust Digital Library has made over two million books from 麻豆AV Library鈥檚 print collection available online for all 麻豆AV students, faculty, and staff. The Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS) includes in-copyright material. The new service provides remote access to over half of 麻豆AV鈥檚 print collection.
New in WorldCat Discovery: browse 麻豆AV鈥檚 e-resources collection virtually
Discover 麻豆AV Library鈥檚 e-resources collection serendipitously online through WorldCat Discovery鈥檚 new 鈥淏rowse the Shelf鈥� accordion tool.
To use the browse option, access WorldCat Discovery, open the detailed view of the item record, and click 鈥淏rowse the Shelf鈥�.

Secret study spots, sun-lit nooks, silence in the stacks 鈥� we miss it all. Most of all, we miss seeing our users. So we created some library-themed and campus Zoom backgrounds to help the community feel connected while working remotely.

All checked out items due between March 1 - June 14 automatically renewed to mid-June
The Library has聽automatically renewed聽all checked-out items that were originally due between March 1, 2020 and June 14, 2020. The new due date for these materials will be June 15.
Library / COVID-19 Closure Reminders:
- The Library鈥檚 physical branches are closed in conformance with government and campus directives through May 1. No fines will be accrued during this time.
Easter weekend Library virtual service hours
Please note that during the Easter long weekend聽virtual reference services will not be available on:
- Good Friday:聽April 10
- Easter Sunday:聽April 12
- Easter Monday: April 13
Virtual reference services will be available on Saturday, April 11 from 12-5PM.聽
PressReader access during the Library closure period
Due to the 麻豆AV VPN being currently unavailable as a method to access Library e-resources, users can access PressReader through a web browser.
Now Available: COVID 19 - Temporary Open & Free Resources
In order to support the 麻豆AV community and it聽moves聽towards remote instruction & learning聽during the COVID-19 crisis, many publishers are offering some or all of their e-resources freely for a period of a few months. 麻豆AV Library has put together a list of these publishers and their 鈥榦pen鈥� or freely available resources on a dedicated webpage.
Request access to essential print research materials during Library COVID-19 closure before Thursday, March 19 at noon
Update, March 19, 12:00 pm: The request period is now over.
The Library is offering a one-time retrieval service聽for research print materials from all downtown libraries to members of the 麻豆AV community. Only items that can normally circulate will be retrieved.
For materials located at downtown library branches:
Access e-resources via the catalogue or Databases A-Z. E-resources temporarily unavailable via VPN.
To support 麻豆AV鈥檚 closure, the campus is making some technical changes to the VPN to allow it to scale up for a larger number of users. A side effect of these changes is that most electronic resources will not be accessible via the VPN for the time being.

As a result of the closure, the Library is implementing the聽following initiatives:
Make your voice heard! LibQUAL+ 2020 survey starts March 10th
Starting March 10th, the LibQUAL+ survey will be emailed to a random sample of 麻豆AV students as well as to all professors, instructors, research assistants, and research associates in the Faculties of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine, and Science (including associated schools in these faculties).
Several Library websites unavailable Thursday, February 20, between 6 AM and 7 AM
Several Library websites will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes between 6 AM and 7 AM tomorrow morning, Thursday, February 20, 2020 for scheduled maintenance.
