New! LibKey/BrowZine Integration with WorldCat Discovery Starting February 4, 2020
Â鶹AV Library is excited to announce that we will be integrating our Discovery catalogue and link resolver with BrowZine’s LibKey service starting on February 4, 2020.
This means that links to article PDFs will be available right from the catalogue or link resolver for many articles. The service will also provide an option for browsing articles from the same issue or latest issue of the parent journal.

Â鶹AV Library is happy to announce a partnership with the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI) and a coalition of 17 other Quebec universities to provide the Quebec scholarly community with access to three digital platforms:

Update | Seventy-five new study spaces in the Redpath Library Building; Blackader-Lauterman Reference/Folio Collection relocated
Seventy-five new study spaces on the third floor of the Redpath Library Building areÌýnow available to students.
In order to make room for the furniture, the Blackader-Lauterman Art & Architecture Reference/Folio Collection has beenÌýrelocated to a larger space on the same floor. Signage is be displayed directing users to the new areas.

Library’s Research Commons renamed Innovation Commons
As of January 2020, the Library’s Research Commons in the Redpath Library Building has been officially renamedÌýInnovation Commons to better reflect the services offered.
The Innovation Commons is a technology-enhanced, collaborative space that brings together services and resources to support researchers.
It includes spaces, support, and equipment for integrating technology and research and offers services such as 3D printing and virtual reality.

Update #6: Osler Library of the History of Medicine
Space Update: The Osler Library of the History of Medicine space has been repaired and reconstructed. The third and fourth floor spaces surrounding the Osler Library and managed by the Faculty of Medicine are now being renovated. As a result, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine will be operational following the completion of this construction project. Library services in McIntyre are expected to resume in 2021.

Each year the Osler Library of the History of Medicine offers a number of awards and travel grants to local and international historians, physicians, graduate and post-doctoral students, and others whose research touches upon the history of medicine. From now through 10 January 2020, we are accepting applications for the following awards/grants:
Exam Period Access to Nahum Gelber Law Library for Fall 2019
As of November 26, Â鶹AV students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of Â鶹AV (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 4 to 20Ìýexamination period. Details are as follows:
Access to e-exams service restored
The e-exams service, a repository of course exams deposited by Â鶹AV instructors in the Library from April 2008-December 2012, has now been relaunched. All e-exams content that was available prior to our catalogue migration is now available in WorldCat Discovery, and a targeted search box for only the e-exams content is now available on the Â鶹AV Library web site here.
