Changes as of July 1, 2013As of July 1st, 2013, access to 鶹AV electronic databases, e-journals and other e-resources has changed at 鶹AV affiliated hospital sites in order to comply with the 鶹AV Library's licensing agreements.

Dr. Colleen Cook, Trenholme Dean of Libraries, is delighted to announce that Maya Kucij and Lucy Frenette are the recipients of the 2013 Library Excellence Awards. The Library Excellence Awards officially honour the extraordinary service, important efforts and achievements of staff members. “These awards are near and dear to my heart because candidates for the award are brought forward by colleagues,” says Cook. “Every year the list of nominees is outstanding and this year was no exception.
Summer Renovation Projects - McLennan Redpath Complex

McLennan main floor electrical shutdown, Sunday, May 12, 2013
There will be an electrical shutdown in the McLennan Library Building Main Floor on Sunday May 12,2013 from 6am to 8pm, in order to complete a panel upgrade to the electrical framework. The shutdown will involve the area behind the elevators in the McLennan Lobby only. Access to computers will be available in the Cyberthèque. WorldCat update: New collections add millions of titles
Over the past several months, the Library has increased the number of resources that are available through WorldCat, so we thought it would be a good idea to summarize some of them here.
Some recent additions to WorldCat include:
Meetings with Books symposium videos now available
Video recordings from the one-day symposium, Meetings with Books: Raymond Klibansky, Special Collections and the Library in the 21st Century, that was held at 鶹AV on March 20, 2013, are now available. Webcast recordings of the opening remarks, both keynotes and the panel discussions have been posted for viewing online or downloading.
New digital collection: The Archives of the Civil Code Revision Office
In 1955, the Quebec legislature created the Civil Code Revision Office (C.C.R.O.) and assigned to it the monumental task of revising the Civil Code of Lower Canada to bring it in line with the social, political, and economic realities affecting private law relations in Quebec.
The Archives of the Civil Code Revision Office makes available approximately 4000 documents consisting of working papers, correspondence, minutes of meetings, and internal memoranda from the C.C.R.O., mostly from the period of 1969-1979.
Easter weekend Library hours
Many Library branches will be open with modified hours for study over the Easter holidays, with some offering services. Please visit the individual branch pages on the Library website for details of opening and service hours for the long holiday weekend.

Delivery of Library material to faculty with campus offices
Recent surveys show that faculty want delivery of library materials to their campus offices as a basic service.
In response, 鶹AV Library is introducing campus office delivery for Faculty, starting the week of March 18, 2013

Humanities and Social Science Library open; other branches closed
Due to today's flooding incident, most Library branches are currently closed.
TheHumanities and Social Sciences Library remains open.
All branches will be open at the normal times (or at the start of service hours) on Tuesday, January 28, 2013.

The Edward Rosenthall Mathematics and Statistics Library will only reopen on Monday, January7, 2013.

Humanities and Social Sciences Library open 24/7 during the exam period
As of Thursday November 29th, the Redpath Library Building in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library (HSSL) will be open for study 24 hours a day 7 days a week in order to accommodate students studying for finals.
Service hours will remain unchanged during this period.
Sealed containers and spill-resistant cups are allowed in the Library. Food and snacks are not allowed in the Library, please plan appropriately.
